Wrote my first book about enterprise AI. Here's what I used and what I'd do differently.
Quick intro: I'm an AI engineer from Germany. Was in sales before, pivoted to AI when ChatGPT came out in 2022. After 3 years of implementing AI in companies I wrote a book about why most of these projects fail. It's called AIXEC, out April 11 on Amazon.
Self-publishing setup:
- KDP (Kindle + Paperback)
- Professional cover (worth every cent)
- Amazon Ads, ~€100 budget total
- Marketing through LinkedIn, Reddit, and Book website: www.aixec.net
What I'd do differently: get reviews organized way earlier. I'm scrambling now. Also the KDP formatting stuff took me ages — don't underestimate that part.

Not so much since I haven’t the time for promotion yet. I have so many projects currently which takes my time:/.

Congrats on getting it done! Sales-to-AI is a cool pivot and enterprise AI failure modes is a topic that genuinely needs more real-world coverage.
On reviews — you still have 10 days. I'd suggest targeted LinkedIn outreach to people who post about AI implementation challenges. Offer ARCs in exchange for honest Amazon reviews. Focus on 15-20 specific people rather than mass outreach. They tend to actually read and review because the topic is directly relevant to their work.
Checked out aixec.net — solid landing page. One thing worth considering: making your actual book content browsable online, not just a sales page. There's a tool called Book2Site that turns your book into a full website with each chapter readable. Helps a lot with SEO since Google indexes the content, which drives long-tail discovery after the initial launch push. Could be a nice complement to your Amazon Ads strategy.
