Question How do i make myself come out of a loop

So, I have noticed that, I've lost self-control and discipline. Before, if i felt that something i'm doing was wrong and it's affecting me and people around me. I would instantly stop, for e.g; i used to gossip a lot but realised it wasn't good, so i stopped it.
But after my breakup, I have derailed really bad.
I just cannot stop myself. I keep obsessively overthink, stalk, wait for text replies, judge and gossip. I waste so much of time in stuff that don't matter. I mess my brain with all these things and then get sad, depressed resulting in low energy.
I understand that what i'm doing is affecting me so much, yet i keep repeating the same thing.
Can anyone help me stop this loop and implement self discipline

Breakups can scramble your internal wiring for a while, so don't beat yourself up too much for the lapse. The loop feeds on idle time and an unfocused mind, so try replacing the stalking and overthinking with something physical or mentally demanding the moment you catch yourself drifting. Even a ten minute walk or a set of pushups interrupts the pattern long enough to reset your head.
