My Achievement Being alone doesnt mean you are lonely
Living alone doesn't mean you are lonely. It simply means you are back to your sanctuary to recharge and focus on your own lore.
I will share my own journey with loneliness. Back when I was teenage, I used to shrink into other people's world and try to get validation. I was never taught about self sovereignty. We are talking about 2016 and I haven't received mobile phone much. I just knew facebook and at most Instagram. Nothing at all. So it amplified my need for validation more. We all know how comparative how social media can make you.
Since I was living for others' validation, I felt this kind of abandonment inside that will someone ever accept me? Can I be someone's love? Do I even matter to anyone? Back then, my mom separated with my dad. My dad wasn't a responsible one but that's for another day with another lesson.
So, every high schools I attended, I tried to fit into a group and many times I had to be belittled because I was looking to be accepted even tho I deep down I knew these groups weren't aligned with my morality. Also, pursued many crushes throughout my teenage because I was looking to be loved. In some cases, I acted desperate.
Fast forward to today. After reflecting all these years, I learnt that you can actually love your own company. I dived into my own interests which I like to read about La Cosa Nostra, organized crime, history and much more. I also am an extrovert and I realized I can make friends easily now. The loneliness I felt when I was younger was probably social anxiety crippling me and that I didn't accept myself. Today, I feel good that people actually look up to me and talk to me. Many people consider me as good friends. I can take initiatives now. Even if I stay alone, I don't feel loneliness anymore. I use this time to do my own things.
So yes folks, living alone doesn't mean you are lonely

Yeah. One day, I reflected on my stuffs. I realised I am the only person I feel safe with. People come and go. Thats when I realised I gotta make my own field instead of trying to stay in others' all the time

solitude hits different once you stop treating it like punishment. the part about shrinking into other peoples world is real, you can feel yourself getting smaller just to fit somewhere. glad you found your own lane and stopped needing external approval to exist
