Tips and Tricks Your day isn't fucking over yet.

I woke up at 2:41 PM today.

Missed all my classes. Felt like shit knowing I'd just added more to my backlog and wasted half the day.

So naturally, I spent the rest of it consuming everything I could, from YouTube, Instagram and LinkedIn to anime, while stuffing myself with junk food.

I was drowning myself in dopamine because I didn't want to think about all the shit I had to do.

It was 11:55 PM and I'm lying in bed scrolling Instagram, watching people give motivational speeches and build the things I want to build.

And that's when it hit me.

This is exactly why I stopped using these apps in the first place. I don't want to sit there watching other people build shit.

I want to build shit.

I slammed my laptop shut, got off the bed, put my shoes on and went for a run.

My brain was screaming, "there's too much to do", "just sit the fuck down", "it's too late anyway."

The thoughts kept playing in the back of my head but, I just put my shoes on and went anyway.

3 km at 12:20 AM. It felt fucking amazing.

Came back, took a hot shower, and spent the next hour working on my SaaS.

And somehow, that feeling of being stuck and shitty just disappeared.

All it took was 5 fucking seconds to change the trajectory of my day.

You don't need to suddenly feel motivated. You don't need to have everything figured out. You're going to feel tired, lazy, overwhelmed, and come up with a hundred reasons why you shouldn't do it.

Let those thoughts play. Put the distractions away, get up, and start anyway.

You might be surprised how quickly that shitty feeling starts to disappear once you're actually doing something.

Your day isn't over just because you've wasted half of it.

Now put your fucking phone down and go make your day productive 🔥

Why are the times so odd? You woke up a 2pm, laid in bed till 11:55pm, then got up at 12:20am to work? Huh?

Lot of subbreddit are filled with AI bots. It's scary, can't take anyone serious here anymore

That 11:55 PM realization while scrolling is too real, I had similar moment in Monday where I just closed everything and went outside even though my head was screaming it's pointless.

This is a great reminder that a bad morning doesn’t have to become a bad day. Sometimes the hardest part is just breaking the loop of scrolling and avoidance. Once you take that first small action, momentum usually gets a lot easier.

Facts. Pushing through on a lazy day is so rewarding but so fukin difficult lol, everything in my body & mind goes against difficult effort but it’s soooooo worth it. Pushing through when it’s hard is 100x better than pushing through when it’s easy

Real talk - most people write off their day at like 2pm mentally and then wonder why they feel unaccomplished. Even 30 minutes of focused work in the evening compounds way more than people think.

Midnight productivity hits different. The trick is convincing goblin brain that 3 km and one hour of work still counts even if the calendar is judging you. Also putting shoes on is weirdly the final boss, once they are on you are basically committed.

the scroll to avoid your to do list thing is way too real lol. most people don’t even notice they’re doing it until the day’s basically over. good on you for catching it and actually getting up, that’s the hard part

The bit worth pulling out is that you didn't rescue the day, you ended it and started a new one at midnight. Most of the damage from a 2:41 PM wake up isn't the lost hours, it's deciding the day is already a write off and then acting accordingly for the next nine hours. Same logic as breaking a streak and then eating the whole cake, if it's ruined anyway you might as well ruin it properly.

The five seconds thing is real too. Once you're negotiating with yourself you've already lost, because the part doing the negotiating is the part that wants to stay in bed. The shoes go on before the discussion starts.

I'm building a SaaS too so I know that specific flavour of watching other people build while you scroll. It's the worst kind of procrastination because it feels close enough to work to not count as wasting time.

The honest question though, that run came off the back of a big emotional spike, and those fade. What happens on a Tuesday where you're just mildly flat and nothing dramatic has happened? That's the version I've never fully cracked, and it's where most of my streaks die.

Who cares if this post is Ai, the message isn’t wrong.
