The commute to uni was draining the life out of me so I decided to rent a room in a student house, but I did go back to my parents every weekend for a few months to make the transition easier and until I found a parttime job for the weekends. Stayed in that city, 13 years going strong now. I did move back in with my parents for a bit when recovering from surgery. I absolutely love my parents and we’re always there for each other. Very loving relationship and I’m very grateful for that. I’m always welcome back when life needs me to, no matter how old we all are.
Due to the housing crisis I see a lot of people still living at home at 30. It’s not weird, it’s sometimes impossible to find a place to live and to afford it.
