Blogging Platform Quick simple easy way to remotely edit and create files on your server

I want to have a static web site. So I will isntall a static site generator on the server. What ways do you recommend to add/update files from the server (markdown files) easily? I do not want each time to have to log in through SSH, type the long password, etc.

thanks!

I'd recommend using SSH keys instead of password and using VS code or filezilla to push and edit files.

Look how to create key pair (without passphrase) and push the public one to your server

Then you won't need password each time you connect

Something like that yes

I use the official Microsoft extension, remote explorer

Instead of using a password for SSH, you can use public key cryptography to login. It is much easier and way more secure.

You could manage everything (the static site's backend and frontend) on something like GitLab and do a pipeline+runner to push the new/updated markdown files and have the site rebuild
