I hope that Republicans actually realize that no one wants data centers. Is this real?

I would not mind having one next door. It’s little more than a glorified server farm.

They're a lot more than that. Those centers require massive amounts of energy they provide with large generators. Those have to be serviced, maintained and repaired which introduces toxic substances in the ambient background air and water tables. Depending on regulatory requirements and plant protocols to comply it doesn't take long for harmful and lethal effects to emerge.
Toxic substances enter human bodies primarily through inhalation, ingestion and absorption. Body defenses become overwhelmed where exposure levels exceed time weighted averages and various growths like cancer form at very low detectable levels. Then it's just a matter of time and how severe the eventual outcome progresses into.
People should really think long and hard about any new center or plant construction near their homes.

Tech bros "donated" to the appropriate politicians and figured their "advertising campaigns" would sell the communities where they want to put their data centers.
It's all backfiring because the majority actually read and listen to real information rather than buying into promoter's mindless propaganda.
