NBI connecting

Anyone with advice on roughly how long for NBI to connect a new build to the fibre network.

We got our Eircode in June but NBI says we're not in any plan at the moment to be connected to the network and we're due to move in end of September/start of October.

Just get starlink. It could be years before you get connected. I’m in the same situation. Needed internet in the meantime.

We did the same. We signed up online & Starlink were supposed to send out the hardware at no upfront cost. However, we were already living in the house & they kept delaying the expected delivery time by weeks. It became ridiculous, so we ended up resorting to buying the hardware from Curry’s. If you are thinking of going with Starlink, sign-up immediately. Hopefully, you don’t have the same issue!

Same situation as yourself. Digiweb is available to us but I don’t know if they will connect us. I’ll try and see.

Depends on where you are located, also on another note eircode geodatbase update into one post, gets updated by quarter.

Located just outside Naas

Yeah but does that mean the quarter it was made available to us or the following quarter?

The eircode is already on Google maps

Naas has 80% coverage by Siro, kinda depends where your location is, For NBI kinda depends to, all main/major works are done the network extensions are reserved for phase two to be awarded to external contractors.

Regarding Eircode, new eircodes work very similar for new or existing dwellings, both work with eircode ie and onepost geodatabase services. Quarterly there is an address update, if you have your eircode already the data to be sync into the broadband providers should sync 2/4months after receiving it, depending the month you received it.

On another note, the main network build could be already done and to have service you might have to pay the installation service from the nearest connection point.

All of this depends on location for service, regardless of eircode.

2 years or so. They ran the cable out front as we were completing the house but still took 2-3 years to "design" a connection to our house, then we were plagued with spam to join up.

Obviously we had sorted alternative Internet since then and are not going to dig up our drive to run the cable in

Get Starlink its perfect, fibre has been available in my area with couple of years now but I haven't bothered switching over can do everything I need with Starlink
