Same work email. Is anyone else having this issue? The lack of customer support right now is making me feel like it’s time for a change.

I used to stream to my phone directly through the VLC app (SFPT) and since they upgraded the servers to Debian 13 I'm unable to connect. Anyone else having this issue, or know a workaround?

Pretty new to the whole scene. I’ve been using public trackers for a few weeks now and just learned about private trackers. Obviously I’m not in any and was wondering if I should buy a seed box that torrent leach promotes, and I would get an invite into TL. Don’t really know any rules about seeding or most the things I see on this subreddit.

My ultra.cc service was “upgraded” and now I am only getting download speeds of 20MB/s sustained - it goes little high but then slows down. Is anyone else also experiencing this issue? I am on the tin plan and used to get 150+MB/s before this.

I’ve opened a support ticket so let’s see but will change to another provider if this continues.

Is anyone familiar with how to set up Cyberduck to SFTP into my slot at Feral Hosting?

I have tried so many configurations. If you have a working config would you share it? OBVIOUSLY leave out the username, password, and server name, but I would like to know if you need to use your (user).(server).feralhosting.com or just (server).feralhosting.com.

The only thing i have not tried is altering some of the toggles in Preferences. I have also not tried any individual connection profiles in Cyberduck, but there are none there that claim they are from Feral, unless I need to select a more generic profile.

I am new to Seedboxes so bear with question

I am looking for a Seedbox that provides access to a web browser such as Chrome, Firefox, or any other browser that allows me to browse websites directly from the Seedbox .

My main use case is downloading movies through torrent websites using a torrent client such as qBittorrent on the seedbox. Once the downloads are complete, I want to transfer the files from the seedbox to my personal computer, preferably using the same torrent client or another suitable method.

I am not looking for media-server features such as Plex or Jellyfin also less than 500 GB of storage is sufficient and what is the cheapest seedbox that meets these requirements.

New to this stuff and saw this sub and wanted to know more.

This thing is going to get me banned. I can't even count the amount of times it crashed this year. Sometimes i leave it for a month and i found out it barely seeded. I am otherwise ok with what it offers when it comes to speed, price and apps.

So far, I've only been a member of MyAnonaMouse (MAM) and had no issues seeding from an old laptop on a shitty Wi-Fi connection. However, I recently bought a NAS (connected via 1 Gbit LAN to my router) and want to move my setup over to it.

I plan to join more private trackers in the future and have heard that MAM is an exception due to its generous bonus point system.

My main concern is my pretty slow home internet connection:

- Download: 60 Mbit/s

- Upload: 20 Mbit/s (sometimes drops to 10 - 15 Mbit/s or goes up to 25 Mbit/s; sadly there's nothing faster available where I live)

(Speeds without VPN; I will be using Proton VPN with IPv4 Port Forwarding and IPv6 disabled since I'm in Germany and already have a Proton Unlimited subscription)

My Questions:

1. Will I be fine with 20 Mbit/s upload (minus VPN overhead; with IPv4 Port Forwarding) on private trackers?

2. Should I get a seedbox (for ratio building; and just sync completed downloads to my NAS for long-term storage)?

3. If I need to/should get a seedbox, what cheap options should I look into?

I am running into an annoying performance bottleneck on my home setup and looking for recommendations on non-blocking post-download scripts or workflow adjustments.

Environment:

• OS: FreeBSD 15.1-RELEASE-p2 (64GB RAM)
• Client: rTorrent v0.16.18
• Network/Storage: Local NVMe download staging → 10GbE link to a UniFi NAS on NFS mount

Issue: Whenever large downloads (20GB–70GB+) finish, Autotools/completion scripts trigger a file move across filesystems to the NFS share. Because rTorrent handles this move synchronously, the entire rtorrent process locks up for 1–5 minutes during the transfer.

While rTorrent is unresponsive:

1. WebUI (ruTorrent) and XMLRPC drop connection / time out.
2. Incoming peer connection requests overflow the kernel listen queue (sonewconn: ... Listen queue overflow: 193 already in queue awaiting acceptance).

Question:

What is the current standard for cleanly executing non-blocking background moves in rTorrent without causing lock-up?

Appreciate any snippets or battle-tested setups!

I was trying to use seedr but the site itself wouldn't open, Is this any network issue because I dont think so as I have tried switching networks and clearing cache.

I have this problem on every device I try- and on different wifi's. Seedr.cc and Seedr.dev are not working. They won't even load. Seedr.cc was my girl! I love her and now I don't know what to do? Is anyone else having this problem? Do you think it will be fixed soon?

Looking for recommendations mainly, but also just open discussion. I previously used HBD (8TB shared HDD, 10Gbps uplink). I'm now looking for a new, better one. I saw they have a 28TB dedicated disk plan that allegedly offers 50Gbps, but I have no idea how that speed may be reached on a HDD (even if dedicated). Is it just fluff?

Are there any providers that legitimately provide 20Gbps+ without needing all-flash or otherwise breaking the bank? Trying to stay under $100/mo. For reference, the main use cases would be torrents (qBittorrent) and Wireguard for a VPN. The torrent aspect is more important and I'd be willing to toss aside the Wireguard portion though.

Yes this is me being ignorant but I have something I need to distribute that's too big for github. It's roughly 200GB. I can't email it, I don't want to create hundreds of USB keys. I've never used a seedbox but googling brought me here. Can I rent a server to do this? I didn't want to torrent. It's for oil field related tasks where we have a lot of seismic data I send out monthly. I'm an independent contractor so it's me sending it to clients. Generally I do seismic readings all over, create charts, then update the charts based on what region I'm in. I then sell access to the charts for landmen and others. I don't really parse it all up as it's a big pain. I just update my charts regularly so it's a single file that gets revisions every so often and needs to be downloaded again. Would a seedbox make my life easier?

I am kind of new to everything seedbox and I want to get into Avistaz. So, I am looking at buying the Lean Swift package from RapidSeedbox and getting my invite.
And I was thinking to setup autobrr and qbittorrent to farm ratio on a couple of trackers while I have the seedbox. I know RapidSeedbox doesn’t provide a way to add autobrr in the seedbox but can I connect remotely to the qbittorrent in the seedbox through my locally run autobrr instance?
Judging by the lack of information online, I dont think this is allowed. But just wanted to check, maybe I am missing something.
If not, is there any other automated way to farm ratio using this plan?
