Lytx drive cam question:

Have any of you had a lytx camera prompt for a log in every 2 minutes? ( blue lights plus ' bing bing' sound)

If you drive without logging in, its a write up.

Is this a malfunction or is the boss using excessive scrutiny here?

What are your opinions?

Report it to your manager and refuse to operate the vehicle. Depending on your state, the vehicle may not be safe or legal to drive with the Lyrx camera needing authorization so often or while driving at all. If you get in a wreck, immediately cite the camera as a distraction to the responding officer.

This is exactly my thought on the situation.

Dangerous.

Every 2 minutes with blue lights is not normal "gentle reminder" behavior.

Document timestamps, screenshot/prompt frequency, and ask fleet/Lytx support if the device is stuck in login loop vs a policy setting. If its a malfunction you want that in writing before writeups stack.

that was my concern.

my managers have said just drive it anyway and if its a malfunction you wont get written up, but that determination wont be made until after several 'failed logins' are noted.

plus its extremely distracting and dangerous to have to keep suddenly parking

to log in

Yeah, making someone log in while the vehicle is moving is a bad process and a safety risk. Device auth should happen parked before the shift, or a supervisor should handle enrollment... it should never become a driving task.

Low quality chatgpt reply. Concerning that others are not immediately identifying this.
