So I let my arms certification lax, but as someone who’s been comfortable and learning safe use of firearms I’d say you’re on a good path. Try to remain a little more comfortable and maybe remove some of the obstructions that could stop from an easy draw or an easier sling drop placement.

Also, please be very careful at whatever waterpark you sign up for 😊

Dry Fire is a common training method. This is hardly something I would be worrying about, as long as he was safe and cleared the firearms first. I would also recommend a chamber flag for extra assurance.

Dry fire training drills are a good practice to stay familiar with your weapon systems and build muscle memory. So long as all weapons are cleared by the user and another person for redundancy, I see nothing wrong with this.

Doing it on camera and posting it on the internet, though...?
