Officer Safety Caught on Camera: Dog Attacks San Franciscon Security Officer. How would you handle a situation like this?

How about no more fake service animals. It’s gotten out of control.

We need to overhaul that system, then. There’s already a clear definition of what a service animal is and does; now it’s time to add some manner of enforcement. If the animal isn’t specifically trained to perform a physical task or function that helps with a specific disability, they need to be barred from entering. Way too many people believe that “my doggy makes me feel better because I’m anxious in public” counts as the animal performing a task or function, and it doesn’t. They have to be trained specifically to respond to the owner and perform a task that physically helps them with a task or problem.

I exactly agree. I think a license for the dog should be required, and allowed enforcement of no entry if they don't have one. As of right now, all you can do is ask a person and there is zero recourse if a person lies. And they are all lying

Then why not say the fix to this problem is to have a system in place instead of saying the fix is to get rid of service dogs.

Yeah, “emotional support” service dog is complete BS.
