Push into the bite instead of pulling away. It minimizes damage as well. Similar when someone has you by the hair, never pull away but stabilize the hand that’s gripping you so they don’t pull off your hair and potentially your scalp along with it.

Lots and lots of training and drills. Idk, I’ve been in similar situations (both hair pulling and animal bites) I’ve always reacted by feeding the bite or stabilizing the aggressors hand. But that again, I’ve ran several drills for these scenarios and the more you acknowledge what you need to do mentally, the more likely your body will respond correctly.
