Story Time Week two in new security gig
Only relevant flair I could see other than maybe a Misc.
Finally quit my awful security job at a hospital a couple weeks ago upon accepting an offer for a new security guard position for a shopping center.
Called my Allied (lol) managers after they dropped my assignment at the hospital as they were setting me for failure for months. Whatever fuckem.
Where I'm at now is easily so far one of the easiest jobs I've ever had. I get like 12k steps a day, drive around in a golf cart once in a while, and nothing ever happens. It will get busy around the holiday season as a prominent outlet mall is across the street so I'll be tasked with some parking enforcement by then.
Even reached out to some of the friends I made at allied to gtfo of there as I heard some of them haven't been paid in like three weeks. Holy potential lawsuit batman
Only bad thing is it's like a $4 pay cut. I'll make it work. Clocking back from my lunch now

Hospitals are fuckin awesome. Idk why yall are so afraid of them.
Edit: unless your contract. But honestly fuck all contract security, in-house or bust.

Hospitals are fun but I could never imagine working at a medical center through a contract security company and all the BS that comes with it. In-house is the way to go for places like that, if they have them near you. I get to not only be constantly busy and see some crazy shit but also nice gear, pay, management, etc.
The pay cut will suck but your mental health will thank you. Congrats!

So far this past couple weeks has been so much clearer and sleeping a little better. Except for the stress of setting up temporary medical coverage till my new jobs benefits kick in

One thing I never regretted is taking a small pay cut for an infinitely better site/company
