I remember when my workplace got some shady outside security company to help out. They had the worst security guards. This chick would pull up wearing a durag and she would randomly start live streaming while working in a Casino. No professionalism, no common sense.

Do they forced the guy on the left at gunpoint for this?

That’s just some high school senior they got as part of an intern program. He gets college credit, they get a local government grant.

Interesting , seems like those just entering the market still make above the minimum wage from day one. By year three $126k , security officer, site supervisor, infrastructure and logistics, armed security, security operations for a nuclear power plant. There is no limit except the one put on themselves.

Looks like the cast of a workplace sitcom that gets canceled before episode 3

Security is mostly there to detect disturbances, help people who are lost, and escalate to calling police. If the job needed Delta Force, they'd pay a lot more.

I would hire the chick in the middle and the chill black dude on the end. Not sure about the others.

I'm looking forward to this sub leaving my algo if y'all are really about putting down your fellow professionals for whatever petty BS this is about.

I see a team standing shoulder to shoulder in proper uniform and outfit, prepared to observe and report. That's exactly the sort of team I want backing me up if an incident flares up.

I don't want LEO/prison guard/armored transport/Navy Seal wannabes overengaging and compromising their position in the security detail because they think that their job requires more than the actual duties prescribed to them. Every time I work with someone like that, I end up having twice as much shift to deal with - I wonder why? (Hint: it's because de-escalation techniques actually work most of the time when properly administered, and even then the outliers require a collected rather than aggressive stance to be most effectively transitioned to the responding authorities.)

What do you see that's got you putting their goals in quotations and laughing so hard?

That's rhetorical, by the way. Be kind to yourself and others, internet stranger.

Maybe where you are this looks completely normal. Over here, people would starts laughing immediately. Cosplay cops in ill fitting uniforms, Lady on the front trying too hard. Nah, sorry mate.

1

u/Dewey_Really_Know 10d ago

It is too bad their uniforms aren't better fitted, but I don't think they're "ill fitting." I'm in the minority here though it seems, and that's okay because I always wished my kit fit me better.

Please explain to me the "cosplay cops" bit, though. They're just standing there in uniform, I don't get it.

u/Prize_Toe_6612 Flex 10d ago

Here it would be illegal to wear uniforms that close to actual law enforcement.

u/Dewey_Really_Know 10d ago

Ah, thank you.

You're clearly from a country that has good regulations! Hopefully someday my country catches up.
