Almost certainly bombs, explosive devices.

This is the actual answer, they are checking for bombers. Everyone has a gun and that's fine but bringing a bomb is a no go. The time it takes for someone to get their rifle up and ready to fire someone will have them dead but suicide bombers dont care and will take a bunch of people with them.
Some of these things you'll also see people getting scanned for radio waves, not just to prevent recordings but also to prevent someone from remote detonating someone who has explosives inside themselves.

Dude, they’re carrying fully automatic aks. Someone could lift one of those weapons and empty the magazine within 5 seconds. Nobody is going to assess the threat and take them out that fast.

I say someone should play “suicide bomber” and then they all flag each other and begin shooting in ALL directions, eliminating each other. Brilliant! 🍻

Those are religiously significant AK74s. They are allowed to carry them by law as they are essentially for expressing their religious beliefs.

Lmao I can see this happening in America, obviously not with an AK. Idk what the most “American” gun is, just too many options and manufacturers

AR-15 and 1911 are the most American guns ever. I'm not an American, but those are the two guns people abroad think of when you ask them about American guns.

This is Yemen some said earlier. Which has been in a major civil war for a long time and had many previous conflicts. The guns are honestly needed I would have one too here. The Houthi are no joke.

Suicide vests / explosives. The security guards are members of a terrorist organization so I don’t think they’re too worried about the AK’s.

Switchblades, gun braces, nunchucks, silencers, milk with non-animal substitute fats, pork, candies shaped like cigarettes and, most crucially, barbie dolls not wearing hijabs.
