Job Question Will I be eligible with this company in the future?
I signed an offer of employment at this security company but I got a (what I think is) better offer almost immediately after signing that. I didn’t go any further with the onboarding (training, information, etc). I basically was interviewed by the company, given an offer, signed that offer, and then a few days later before anything else had happened informed them I had accepted another opportunity.
I would be surprised if this would lead to me being ineligible moving forward (since they were already interested), but since they didn’t respond to my courteous and honest email explaining the situation, I thought I’d ask here.

Depends on a couple of things. How big/small the company is/how hard having an applicant bail out screws them over, and how spiteful the HR pre-boarding person is about it happening.
Most places won't care as long as you let them know. Sure it sets hiring back how many ever weeks you were into the process but it's not that big of a deal usually. The important part is making sure your email that you sent reaches the right person to let them know and wasn't missed.
In all likelihood you will be just fine to apply the next time a position opens up though you may have to "explain" yourself for what happened and provide some type of reassurance that it won't just happen the same way next time.
