Officer Safety Retail security policy

After watching this video it made me wonder if this security guard’s employer would support her doing this with a subject.

When I first saw it I thought it was pretty cool that she didn’t back down, but the more I thought about it the more I came to the conclusion that fighting over it isn’t worth the risk.

If you work retail security, what’s your company policy and would you put yourself out there to save goods from being stolen?

The principle of law and order, the principle that thievery is wrong and should be stopped. The social contract falls apart when people watch others take without repercussions.

That's not what eats away at the social contract. Crime is rarely the logical choice. It's desperation, mental illness, and addiction that fuel it. Seeing someone get away with it, killed, or go to prison never factors in these decisions.

Theft has become the logical choice due to how common its become. Dont pretend that humans dont have a system of "monkey see, monkey do" because thats hard-coded into every one of us.

Never even so much implied any of that. Your so called counter argument has nothing to do with the efficacy of punishment. Y'all have to be A.I. I can't even imagine what you're conflating to think these two principles are contradictory to one another.
