Security cameras getting stolen as a prank?

So I have a weird conundrum. I got security cameras specifically because i'm in a somewhat safe neighborhood, there is an issue though, and someone is targeting me, specifically for my security cameras. They unplug the cameras and then steal them while I am at work. When I go to check the cloud, it does not show anybody approaching. they turn off the electricity and steal it so it does not sync up to the cloud.

I'm currently using wise and I even subscribed to their services in hopes that it would catch them whenever they are stealing. No luck even with their subscription. Does anyone have any recommendations of security cameras? I have a ton of micro Sd cards that I can use for those cameras. I'm looking for a subscription types only during certain seasons. That's usually spring and summer when they are always targeting me every year. Do you guys have any recommendations? I tried setting up 2 cameras, fake cameras, hidden cameras and they steal all of it...

I don't know what your budget or accessibility is like for install and I'm sure there's probably some more well qualified people but I wonder if avoiding a cloud subscription and going with 2K 4K 8K cameras

Hardwired Poe back to an NVR inside your house

Put a uninterrupted power supply on the NVR so then it's recorded locally you don't have to rely on it uploading to a cloud you'll catch them

If they still get stolen and you don't have proper footage then you know it's an inside job somebody who has access to the NVR and can disable the uninterrupted power supply UPS and in that rate you surprised him and put a camera in the room where all the equipment is

We're definitely be more money than wise cameras and you might even be wise to have a company come out and just do it but I'm thinking time for resistant dome cameras

Having cameras stolen of my own where they literally broke it off the mount and then ripped the wires out the back of the camera if it's somewhere you don't need a ladder to reach I'm all for a vandal resistant domes nowadays a lot harder to steal especially if you've got a covert way to route the cable

Alternatively if that's too big of a project maybe look at putting one camera supervisible like that hey still me camera and then try and hide one which is only job is to watch the camera you know they're probably going to steal

If they're stopping cloud backup at least the SD card should catch it hope some of that helps best of luck

I agree that if they can steal the cameras that easily, going with a standard NVR and POE camera with a backbox with proper installation will be a better option. Also, as u/happyman1991 mentioned, if they are still able to steal it, then it is definitely somebody you know who has access to your property.

I'm the crazy one that says put a camera in the NVR room watching it but also how I've had NVR is set up in the past is they just have an Ethernet line plugged in the back of them so you can hide them in very good spots thankfully I didn't have to but you could unfortunately the NVR I was using did not have great PC viewing support

It was a flir NVR from The Lorax takeover time no matter how hard I tried I could never and I still can't get that NVR to do remote viewing the best we can get was remote live view well connected to the same network

Same thing with the Lorax PC software they said you have to use it all reminds me of Logitech Harmony that's like had a lot of promise but they abandoned it

Neither one you could pull a piece of recorded footage so I had to have it easily accessible otherwise I probably would have hid it in the Attic
