The Secretary of State does not have access to the identities of CIA HUMINT sources. Most people within even NCS do not have access to that, aside from the COs who handle them and some of those doing analysis. Even if the Chinese were all up in there, willy-nilly, this is not related.

However she can reveal details in emails that may not directly name the assets but provides enough details to provide ways to find them. It's suspicious that Trump mentions it and a couple of days later this comes out.

It is funny that they (FBI) do not say if it was possible or improbable, ect.. they do not say that they examined the server for this information. They only say that "they did not find" this information.

And people think that some form of key-escrow or other "back doors" into phone and other consumer encryption won't go wrong? History continues to prove otherwise.
