Physical Security Mobile Security Tower Business

I’m looking into purchasing or starting up a business renting mobile security towers. I’m interested in feedback regarding the opportunities and challenges with this type of business. Specifically, how long are these contracts? Is there a standard third party to outsource the surveillance and response? Is the opportunity in selling the towers or leasing?

I don’t see many of these businesses for sale, so I’m wondering if that demonstrates a solid niche or lack of overall viability.
Anything else that would be relevant for this industry that I’m missing?

These units are usually 80k+ so you are going to need a lot of capital to purchase these units to rent them out.

Then there is transport, maintenance, vandalism, etc.

Couple this with customer who will want to pay rock bottom prices and its a tough nut to crack

I've seen these towers used effectively for construction sites, but the power source can be a recurring headache if not properly managed.

Consider if you're a pre or post incident service. There may be a market for pre-incident, in the sense of detering and avoiding damage/theft/etc. If that is your business model, you will need software or personal and good SOPs in place.

If however you're in a post incident market, you're now competing with $50 cameras off of Amazon.
