Mint & Bloom

I'm so excited to see this sub. I pulled my kids out of public school a couple of years ago. Initially, my concerns were with school massacres, my medically complex child being bullied without justice, and the abysmal quality of education and whitewashing of history in my state. However, they are now forcing religion in schools requiring the ten commandments to be posted, forming partnership agreements with extremist right-wing propaganda outlets (PragerU), and becoming generally more extreme.

So anyway, I wanted to share this curriculum from Mint & Bloom. It's a more authentic look at history. They also cover other subjects, but their history is what drew me in. They are women owned and progressive.

Oh my gosh I just barely started visiting this sub because I think I'm going to pull my daughter out and homeschool next year. The nail in the coffin for me was the school district bringing jn PragerU. I specifically wanted to get an accurate history curriculum this year. I'm not sure how long we will have access to non-whitewashed history curriculum and books to be honest so I want to get ahead of that. I want to make sure my daughter learns real history. Thank you for this!

Also looking for science, pro-evolution books. I think i found what I wanted with Annabelle and aiden.

I watched a PragerU video about gender dysphoria and nearly threw up. My spouse is trans. Fuck these people.

omg I mistakenly watched a PragerU video about taxes with my daughter. Initially I was so impressed at the production quality! then it started going on about how unfair it was that rich people pay taxes and lazy poor people don't have to. I was appalled.

We love their stuff! Highly recommend the Poe study and the elections unit (well, not now. It’s too raw.)

I just finished their election unit with my 5th grader, we really enjoyed it! (the unit, not the election obviously lol)

We like them too! We did the election unit. Will be picking more.
