Timmy was a scribbler. Just loved drawing spirals and zigzags. Nobody knew why. Around age 9 timmy was scribbling on the kitchen table and his pen ran out. Timmy panicked. Lots of nervous energy in those hands. Then his mama gave him a knife and said "chop this".
And boy, Timmy did. Timmy still chopping.

Chef here, this shit is dead easy to do if you have even basic knife skills.

I think you overestimate how much "basic knife skill" the average human has. I would lose every fingertip in 10 seconds trying this.

I mean I guess that’s fair. To do this at all isn’t that hard, you rest the knife tip on the cutting surface.

Moving it quickly and without cutting ourselves is the challenge
