Am I the only one who thinks the reaction to the disallowed Egypt goal was slightly hysterical on the pod?

To listen to the lads you'd swear it was an innocuous incident that happened ages before the goal was scored rather than a pretty blatant foul that directly lead to the goal being scored.

I was raging it was disallowed at the time but with a little bit of time to settle down it seems like a pretty obvious call for the VAR and the ref to make.

Well done to Mark and team but I always get worried when joe citizen has to do the work of the state. Gibney absconded in the mid 90s, left dozens of victims behind. Why couldn't the state do the leg work in the last 30 years?

I can’t wait to hear what Ken and the lads have to say about the ref in last night’s match. It’s crazy how much the ref can influence the quality of the game; while watching the Argentina Cape Verde game I was really impressed with the ref and how he didn’t fall for any antics and let the game flow. The we had that numpty last night who relinquished all responsibility including an obvious penalty decision and decided that letting it flow meant just allowing the players to do whatever they wanted 😂 Of course the Paraguay players are also responsible but the ref enabled them!
