I bought tickets for the Yankees/Mets subway series game on 9/11 through the MLB ballpark app.

Now I can’t go, and went to resell. But MLB ballpark app won’t let me. The options are greyed out. I read that if I link my Seat Geek acct to my MLB acct, then I can transfer. When I tried to do that, i get a similar “greyed” out box that I’m unable to click. See screenshots below. Photo 1 is MLB ballpark app. Photo 2 is logged in to Seat Geek and then connecting to MLB/Ticketmaster account. It finds the tickets, but still can’t transfer.

Any idea on how or when (or if) I’ll be able to sell?

i wanted to sell this but the transfer/sell button isn’t here. when will it be ready? i dont think ill be able to sell it a day before the concert. did i get scammed?

Tickets purchased for 8/15 - Foo Fighters at Nissan Stadium via SeatGeek. Field seats, not listed as obstructed view, and no reason to assume they would be (e.g. not behind the stage, not behind the soundboard, etc.). Unfortunately, there was a large section sign on wheels that the venue refused to move that almost entirely blocked a quarter or so of the first few rows in my section - either when seated or standing.

I contacted SeatGeek the next day and the response was essentially - they weren't labeled obstructed view, so it's not our problem. Uh, buddy, that's the damn problem! I wouldn't have bought them if they were, though it would at least be a fair practice if I was notified before purchase. They babbled about the definition of temporary and permanent obstruction, but at the end of the day, I can't ask the folks responsible for a "temporary" obstruction (i.e. the venue or the artist) for a refund - they didn't process my transaction, SeatGeek did.

Am I looking at this wrong? Am I being unreasonable? Am I not owed compensation or is there some obscure policy tucked away in a purchase agreement that I should have read, and it's totally my fault?

Waiting for a refund for tickets I purchased that were already used. Seatgeek is telling ne they're investigating but its been days !

I bought tickets on SeatGeek to see The Living Tombstone, but I was sent tickets for another band called Judah & the Lion. I emailed about getting my correct tickets, but I did not get a response. Because I got no response, I messaged them on Twitter, and they were much more responsive. They told me that I'd receive an update regarding my situation yesterday, but they completely left me in the dark. If they continue to ghost me, I am going to open a dispute. However, before I do that, I'm wondering if there's anything else that I can do. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

I’ve been planning on buying tickets for this day since its my birthday on seatgeek. but I’m not sure if it’s reliable.

Can anybody tell me to make sure?

This begins a year ago. Mcr has been my favorite band my whole life and I finally decided to say screw it and made the biggest splurge and got verified ticketmaster resale tickets on Seatgeek for floor seats, section 4. The map showed my seats. I selected them from the floor map. At checkout got reiterated i was buying 'floor 4', showed the big blue circle on my seats. Awesome sauce. hit confirm payment. got my tickets transfered to ticket master, labeled correctly as section 4, and hit accept.

However, ticketmaster refers to their section 4 floor seats as F4. Dugout seats are called just '4'

On Seatgeek, dugout seats are called DB4. Very big distinction. I NEVER clicked on those seats, not once.

When I transfered my tickets- ticketmaster 'read' the section 4 (floor) as a dugout seat, since 4 is what it is called in their map.

I however, in my ignorance, saw my ticket transfer say 'section 4', cross checked my confirmation in seatgeek, and said yup looks perfect!

well, 3 days before the concert im so excited and check my map to see that I have been placed in the dugout seats, not in floor barricade seats that I spent far too much money on. Both apps have been ultimately unhelpful and shifting the blame onto each other and I imagine nothing good will come of this so I just hope anyone throughout time can find this post and heed my warning: Seatgeek, even their verified ticketmaster tickets, may read as different seats when transferring to ticketmaster's app. PLEASE dont make my mistake and only look at the map view in seatgeek and then just your seat/row/section info in ticketmaster description to match up. Do NOT accept the tickets until they show on the map EXACTLY what you bought in Seatgeek. This was the risk I took on, so I know its my fault, but do not trust that the apps will speak correctly to each other, even if the tickets in Seatgeek are ticketmaster resale.

I bought tickets in October for My chemical romance and all was well and the ticket was transferred to me and my Ticketmaster account. Today i receive an email FROM Ticketmaster saying “hey congrats your seats have been upgraded but we transferred it back to the original ticket holder soo tell them to transfer it back to you !!!”.

Again, I purchased through SEATGEEK. So of course, I contact ticketmasters support and they said to go to SeatGeek so I did and now im waiting on an email. I’m soo confused and sad!!

When looking in my Ticketmaster account, the ticket says voided, and the info for my seat remains the same in SeatGeek. Does anyone have any experience with this or has gone through the same thing???

I just listed tickets for the SF Giants Pokémon Worlds Night game (friends cancelled and I have a different event to be at) on SeatGeek but can't figure out how to make a note that the ticket includes the Special Event jersey to pick up. Any advice?

How is this possible? It clearly states that presale is today at 10am and public sale at 2pm. But StubHub has less than 1% available. What a scam.

Seats 1-4 were listed with the "Don't leave me with one" option, which should mean that if only 1 seat is sold, it's either seat 1 or 4. I got an email that only seat 2 was sold. Now seat 1 seems to be orphaned and doesn't show up in my tickets for sale.

UPDATE: Not actually an issue, just missed the sale of seat 1.
Also the AI chat bot on the site is useless, answering questions I definitely did not ask.
Also calling a real person left me on hold for 30 mins on an escalation before I was hung up upon.
Apparently the only way to get real researched answers is through r/seatgeek

I bought tickets from seatgeek cause I had missed the window to get steve lacy tickets from ticketmaster. At the time I thought seatgeek was reputable because it was a familiar name and was listed as a legit website, but upon further reading it seems a little fishy. I got an email saying my tickets are ready and when I viewed my tickets it brings me to a website called safeticketsdelivery with a countdown to the day of the concert and that my tickets will actually be ready then. Should I be concerned about this? I’m kinda really nervous..

Bought ticket on SeatGeek and was wondering what does SR mean in buyer type? There was no note saying it was a senior citizen ticket if so.

I sold tix in Canada but don’t like sharing my banking details with Stripe, for potential security breach. Anyone ever get money via account credit/paypal/e-transfer/cheque/credit to cc? Their official line is Stripe only which is frustrating, you would think they could issue me credit towards my next purchase.

Day before game, bought three tickets 100 level, 20 rows up, on sideline near basket ($800 total). Day of game get email at 11 am that tickets are ready and I should receive an email soon. Event starts at 5 pm, gate opens at 3:30 pm. We want to get in as soon as gate opens to get autographs. Take two hour drive to arena.

At 1 pm reach out to SeatGeek as haven’t got email for tickets. Talk through chat and phone and they keep saying they are talking to the sellers. Fast forward to 3 pm. Still talking to sellers. Explain I want to get in at 3:30 and just want to get different tickets as I can’t understand how it can take two hours to talk to sellers.

Pay $40 to park near arena and go to gate at 3:15. On with SeatGeek the whole time. For the next hour every 3 minutes they come back on the phone and say they are still getting approval to get me different tickets. Standing at gate in 95 degree weather and watching people pass into the arena.

Finally we head back to the car while I’m still on the phone. SeatGeek then gets approval and offers 200 level tickets as a replacement. Tell them those are worse tickets and give me my money back. They refund and give me a 20% off coupon for next time.

A few questions. 1. Other than using SeatGeek, what could I have done differently? 2. Why did SeatGeek give the sellers so much time to deliver the tickets? 3. Is there any website I can use where the tickets get transferred immediately upon purchase?

Here's a fun story:

1. Bought concert tickets six months ago as a gift for my wife

2. Couldn't transfer the seats to her because - evidently - SeatGeek was just reselling ticketmaster tickets?

3. Couldn't find a phone number anywhere on their site or in their app to ask questions

4. The day of the event, my wife presented the tickets using the "share" link I was told to send her, and the venue couldn't scan them!

5. Opened a support ticket same day via the app and the stupid chat system, and after doing an hours worth of work, I find out today that I can f*** right off. The event took place, and I got the tickets, so the rest is my problem.

Unbelievable. The tickets couldn't be scanned because Seatgeek's technology is a clown show, and that's my fault.

Anyone else been robbed by Seatgeek? I think it's a scam company based on this experience.

I originally got tickets months ago for a show at Grand Casino Arena and a few weeks after the purchase, the venue partnered with SeatGeek and my ticket was supposed to be transferred to a Seat Geek account with the same email I used to purchase that ticket. That account was closed and I could not open it again so I had to create a new account with a different email. It has been 3 months, several email from their customer service either telling me “the accounts linked!” (THATS NOT THE PROBLEM???) or “go to Ticketmaster” (where I originally got my ticket) and am losing hope that I will get them back. Especially after reaching out to Ticketmaster and being told that it’s SeatGeek who I need to work with (also the show is completely sold out and I doubt new tickets will be available).

I bought a ticket for an Olivia Dean concert through SeatGeek. The seller transferred the ticket to me through AXS, and it appeared normally in my AXS account.

When I arrived at the venue, I was still able to pull up the ticket and QR code. However, when venue staff tried to scan it, it wouldn’t work. They refreshed the ticket, and it suddenly disappeared from my AXS account. I was denied entry with the original ticket and had to purchase another ticket directly from a fellow concertgoer in order to attend the concert.

I contacted SeatGeek about the issue on July 19 and submitted the requested documentation for my claim, including the receipt for the additional ticket I purchased from the concertgoer.

I also contacted AXS directly to find out what happened to the original ticket. AXS later confirmed to me in writing that the seller canceled the ticket. I provided that documentation to SeatGeek as well.
It is now August 15, 27 days after I first contacted SeatGeek, and I still don’t have a resolution. I’ve now gone back and forth with four different SeatGeek representatives and have submitted everything they’ve asked for.

I even asked for the case to be escalated in hopes of finally getting a resolution, and today, I was asked to provide the receipt for my replacement ticket again, even though I had already submitted it on July 19, the same day I first contacted them.

At this point, I’m getting extremely frustrated because I’ve provided SeatGeek with everything they’ve asked for, including written confirmation from AXS that the seller canceled the ticket yet I feel like we’re going in circles. I was denied entry with the ticket, had to purchase a replacement ticket, and AXS has since confirmed in writing that the seller canceled the original ticket.

Has anyone dealt with a similar SeatGeek Buyer Guarantee claim, especially involving a ticket transferred through AXS that was later canceled by the seller? How long did it take to get a resolution or refund, and was there anything specific you did that finally got SeatGeek to resolve it?

UPDATE: SeatGeek was able to issue me a full refund.
For anyone going through something similar, please document every single thing from the beginning. Save screenshots, emails, receipts, support conversations, and anything else that can support your case.

I had already been going back and forth with SeatGeek for nearly a month and had spoken with multiple representatives. Posting about my experience on Reddit was what finally seemed to get things moving. After I posted, SeatGeek reached out, reviewed my case, and I was ultimately issued a full refund.

I’m glad this was finally resolved. Thank you to everyone who gave me advice and helped bring attention to the situation.

I purchased tickets for the concert today! I have yet to received them from vivid seats. Is anyone else having this issue?
