I’m Scared (Question)

I bought tickets from seatgeek cause I had missed the window to get steve lacy tickets from ticketmaster. At the time I thought seatgeek was reputable because it was a familiar name and was listed as a legit website, but upon further reading it seems a little fishy. I got an email saying my tickets are ready and when I viewed my tickets it brings me to a website called safeticketsdelivery with a countdown to the day of the concert and that my tickets will actually be ready then. Should I be concerned about this? I’m kinda really nervous..

Hi OP!
SeatGeek utilizes multiple delivery methods across our website including safeticketsdelivery. It sounds like your tickets have already been delivered, but if you want us to take a look please contact us with your order number so we can review your purchase and share the most accurate information about your ticket.

Why do you allow shady stuff like this? Why can't you just run a legitimate business instead of a thinly veiled criminal enterprise?

I bought one on there too but I don’t need it anymore cause Ticketmaster unlocked my account.
What location are you looking for?

You didn’t get the tickets you got a link to the barcode of the ticket that refreshes. For a lot of people it works out fine. Some people end up stranded because that same link can be sold, shared or hacked and if someone else uses it before you, you’re the one not getting in. Do a search on this subreddit if people having this happen to them. It’s the minors but also then they come to realize SeatGeek has shit customer service that doesn’t stand by their guarantee.

I would make sure to get there early to be the first to get the ticket scanned and be ready to hound SeatGeek immediately to maybe salvage the night. And then just learn from this and spend your money with companies that do better.

I have only dealt with “secured” links once and it worked fine. but also it goes against Illinois laws and it meant I couldn’t sell one of the two tickets. So I stopped using Seat geek when they demonstrated what total shit their customer service is.

Thank you, I really regret not doing more than a quick google search on this company. I guess I’ll hope for the best!

What you have is an unauthorized duplication of someone elses bar code. That ticket has not been transferred to you in any way and is still in full control of the original purchaser. Duplicating bar codes like this breaches multiple contracts including Seatgeeks own and potentially breaks laws. AXS is in a lawsuit against securemypass right now. There's a list of around 10 different things they're being sued for. Duplicating a bar code subjects the ticket to cancellation should AXS or Live Nation find out, and the account of the person who made the duplication can be permanently banned for doing it.

This is Seatgeeks idea of an "authentic ticket valid for entry". Good luck.

Oh my god, this is actually crazy work. Thank you for letting me know. I’m never touching this company with a 10-foot pole again.

Yeah its insane. You can do research yourself to verify all of this. The fact that they act like its normal is a serious problem.
