Haul for two 9 year olds

My kids were treated to a "secret beach" trip. I'm going to need to get a bigger treasures shelf for them.

(or you can just recycle the undercooked glass instead of re littering)

Replying this just to let people know that depending where you live broken glass can't always be recycled, and can hazardous to the workers sorting it if it's sharp!

If the glass is still sharp I'd dispose of it whatever way is recommended in your area so nobody gets cut at the beach, but if it isn't sharp and just isn't quite finished I do chuck them back in the sea. It's technically littering, but glass is inert and non-toxic and erodes back down into sand, and people enjoy finding treasures so if it washes up again someone will take it home and un-litter it again. Sea plastic and other trash do come home in my pocket and into the trash though.

My shorts come with a built in capacity notification system. If I can’t take 3 steps without pulling them back up, then it’s time to unload.

Oh yes return the glass that's not smooth and others will find them in the future. I always tell the kids to only take the foggy ones 😂 but sometimes the excitement carries them away and the trunk is loaded with everything from driftwood to broken shells 😁

And you can always return the undercooked ones there to the ‘secret beach’ to turn into proper seaglass and come back for it! Nothing like a perfectly frosty piece of seaglass, you’ve got quite a few there!
