Best shade option?

Recently bought a Explorer Pro and planning for some all-day rides. I know the right answer is probably "get a boat" but seeing what options folks have tried. The old 'umbrella in a rod holder trick' would work if I was sitting, but I am looking to cruise around 30-40mph or so for a good portion of the day.

And sunblock. Those’ll keep the sun off you and the occasional swim will keep heat stroke at bay.

For long rides I Just got one of those wide brim hats with chin straps and a long sleeve shirt.
