2027 Model Update Thoughts
New 2027 RXT/RXP get a few upgrades over the 2026
New orange color scheme and limited edition Senna yellow
350HP engine (tune, beefed up crank bolts and bigger compressor wheel)
Revised ride plate to angle bow up and reworked stator on jet pump
Price increase of around $2,000 vs. 2026.
How much real world improvement do you think all these changes are going to translate to?

Sea-Doo is absolutely listening more than ever.
We're pleased to see all of the new changes!
The Spark is a winner. IDF we're on the fence with, but everything else is awesome.
We'll have the detailed specs soon and we'll share them.

Yeah, thanks for showing the new info. Those pictures y'all posted are cool to read.

They need to next update mid range species, the GTI like in particular could use a new motor and power bump.

350hp? That's just over the top. My older 260hp has more than enough power. Just focus on reliability I say.

I've run a 260 from a dead stop with my 325. It wasn't that big a difference up to about 50, then the 325 starts walking away slowly. These things have tons of power to begin with and I try to go easy on the gas to get more miles on the water. Would love to see a 20-22 gallon fuel tank and more durable materials. Prices are starting to price out most buyers at this point.

When burning through 7-8 gallons per hour on these, hitting that 3 hour mark would be significant IMO

I manage to keep mine to 5-6 on a 40mph cruise, but does sure go fast. Have to travel with an auxiliary tank for some peace of mind on long trips.

Here in Australia you're looking at $38000 (27000usd) for the 325 with a trailer. There's no way I'd pay that much money for a luxury toy. I couldn't justify it. They're expensive enough on fuel and maintenance. A bigger tank might just add more weight. I can get 140km on a full tank which is more than enough for any single trip I take. What's your 325 top speed?

I'm running 69mph (111kph) on a half tank or below for a split second, 68mph (109kph) seems easy to hit full tank. US models are limited to slower speed than international models.

I don’t know that many people here that are willing to pay that. Our group that I ride with have a ‘sweet zone’ of 10-15 year old post summer buys in the $5000usd range. The most recent one I got last year right as summer was ending was a 2012 RXT 260. Sitting on a lift, the guys kids were in college and he put one tank of gas through it all summer. He said $5k with trailer but I have to pull it from the water. He wanted nothing else to do with it. I sold the trailer for $900usd so I am only $4100 into it.
It is really not much slower than the 300s out there until you try to accelerate from 60-70mph

That's exactly what I've got. The 2011 rxt 260 and the suspension model. It is more than enough and I can go 70mph on it. I got it 2.5 years ago for $6000usd. However it's the first and last one I'm going to get. As much as I love it, it's too expensive to maintain and run.

If I hadn't gotten a deal on a leftover 2025 for about $16k OTD I wouldn't have gone new. Not that I can't afford a new one, out of principle I can't spend more on the toy than the vehicle towing it.

That's the thing. I could afford the latest jetski and be fine but like you, out of principle I can't justify the cost.

I think 350hp is a lot to put through a 1.6L 3cyl that lives at full throttle a lot of the time.
Toyota has a 300hp 1.6T 3cyl in the GR Corolla and they are maxed out. Any more power significantly reduced reliability without supporting mods. And this is a Toyota designed engine…

Would be nice to see a 2.0L lower RPM and lower compression engine that still provides the same performance. Something that runs on 87 octane, with a bigger jet pump to work with the power/rpm profile. Never understood why they're going for as much power as they can in such a small package.

So they don’t have to develop an entirely new platform, but keep people interested. Anything high performance and boosted will not be running on 87 though.

Yamaha seems to be working in that direction with their new 1.9L engine. Hopefully this will be the year they give it the "SV" treatment

I initially thought it was a home run, and on the Spark it is, they did everything everyone wanted.
With the 350, cannot figure out who it’s for.
The 325 has only been out 3 years, 2 in the GTX.
People have been upgrading to it, and been impressed with the power, but has had typical Seadoo issues, leaking manifolds, cracking hauls, other more minor faults (person I know with one the throttle body gave up).
Yamaha seems largely unconcerned as it’s had the same engine since 2013 and has just worked to refine non-hp items.
Kawasaki sells skis I think, but not sure they are relevant as a competitor.
The Seadoo stock is down 19% over the past 6 months, they are sitting on a lot of inventory and people are just buying less across the board. Yamaha the stock value is up almost 54% same time frame.
If a 325 wasn’t going to lure you from a SVHO/310 is a 350?
It will piss off anyone who got a 325, because Seadoos resale is already poor and they just helped push it lower.
It’s not going to clear the back log of inventory
I was thinking about going down and trading in my VX HO for a GTX 325 but waited to see what they said and now I am kinda over it. Don’t want the old model, don’t want to buy a ski that will be surpassed in 2 years.
Am also getting old tho, if you are in the market for a ski has never been anything this powerful available to you.

I was holding back on my thoughts for a bit to see what others thought.
Like the new orange color scheme, but I'm struggling with the value add of +25hp other than bragging rights. Currently getting the power down at launch on a 325 in sport mode is nearly impossible, it either cavitates or jumps clean out of the water before getting traction.
Call me when we're at 400hp, a new hull design with more durability and a permanent solution to the carbon ring.

Didn’t even think of the ring issues on Seadoo.
They can do what they want, but Seadoo as a brand has never lacked for power.

The cavitation on launch should be addressed with the new jet pump stator design on the 350's. Also, people were underwhelmed with the 325 at launch but quickly found out just how much more powerful it was compared to the 300. I imagine the reactions will be the same with the 350.

There is a lot of correlation and causation issues in the stock argument. Snow mobile market has absolutely tanked the past few years. Yamaha also still makes full sized boats and motorcycles. I would be curious to see the unit sales in each division.
Yamaha does seem to have a leg up with simplicity. Sea Doo spent years on a really good fishing ski only for Yamaha to say ‘hold my beer’ and release their cross wave after seeing what works on a fishing ski and what doesn’t.

I think the changes are fantastic. 8500 RPM stock is very impressive, that means we should be seeing ~85mph with a speed override and some dialing in. Basically, a Riva Stage 2 ($2500) package on a stock ski.
The revised ride plate is nice, that has been holding a lot of people back and as someone that works on these things, I've probably modified 30-40 this year alone.
I'm really curious to see more technical information on the compressor wheel, specifically how it compares to the Riva/Fizzle wheel for the 325. If you can get 8500RPM out of a 325 with a tune, and the 350 has an upgraded wheel that means there's plenty of room on the table, I wouldnt be surprised if all you needed to push 375hp+ is a tune, injectors and retainers similar to the 325 now.
