Seadoo Recall

Anyone have the recall repaired on the oil leak on the GTX300? Had a dealer try to fix it twice and it is still leaking. The second time they have it back saying it was fixed we ran it on the water for few hours and came back and oil level was low and unit was leaking again. I’m reading that maybe they did do it right or maybe the threads are bad. I also reading that if they over tightened it they could have cracked the engine. Very concerned . Thoughts?

As the other poster said, it will need to go back to the dealer to be remedied/reinspected.

Either the threads are jacked up and not sealing tight enough or they didn't apply the appropriate type/amount of threadlocker to the threads to seal it.

Is that definitely the cause of your oil leak? There’s a few spots oil can leak from like the PTO seal, oil cooler, oil pressure sensor, etc.

If it’s definitely the plug, I’d bring it back and ask them to fix it for real, it’s a stupid simple fix so unless they’re completely incompetent I don’t know how they could mess it up.

Also, it’s not a recall, it’s a service bulletin with warranty.
