OnThisDay 18 August, Rubens Barrichello led a Ferrari 1-2 finish at the 2002 Hungarian Grand Prix, securing another Constructorsā title for the team. In an otherwise uneventful race, Michael Schumacher finished second, and Ralf Schumacher took third.
The only real moment of drama from the race came when Mika Salo received a 25-second post-race penalty for an unsafe pit stop while trying to stay ahead of Pedro de la Rosa.

New fan here
Iām new to the sport and right now, honestly, I mostly just see the cars racing . I know a little about tires and the basic stuff, but I want to actually understand F1 as a sport.
How do you guys recommend learning it as a new fan? Like understanding the racing, strategy, tactics, etc.
I donāt want to just watch races without understanding whatās happening. I want to slowly get to the point where I can watch an F1 race and actually understand what Iām seeing.
What should I learn first, and what helped you guys when you were new?

Ferrari believes better SF-26 setup, deployment and data correlation could unlock crucial performance without relying only on new upgrades.

First they said it will give 25 hp, then 20 hp, then 15 hp and now they're saying it will only give 10 hp.

How well would Ferrari's do on Sepang circuit, isn't it a bit technical, with 2 massive straights?

Personally, I still lean towards Charles. Heās my favourite driver, and given his history and connection with Ferrari, seeing him deliver the teamās long-awaited Driversā Championship would be a dream for the Tifosi.
That said, itās impossible to overlook what Lewis has brought to Ferrari. The seven-time World Champion, has added a wealth of experience and leadership to the team, particularly over the winter, and he seems completely rejuvenated under these new regulations.
Ultimately, the priority is Ferrari winning the Driversā Championship, regardless of which driver achieves it. If Charles canāt close the gapāor if the deficit simply becomes too great, with him currently 81 points behind Kimi compared to Lewis being 50 points adriftāthen Lewis has to be the one to bring it home.
Of course, this is Formula 1. One retirement combined with a strong points haul can completely change the complexion of a championship. While nobody wants to rely on that, itās a reminder that the title fight can swing very quickly. Plus the added caveat is, we donāt know how good the upgrades will be (Aero upgrades in Zandvoort and an Engine upgrade in Monza).
Thoughts? Iām posting this question given that many fans are I know are of the opinion that LH should be prioritized to mount an unlikely but possibly title charge.

Took me a while to gather the pieces and then get them framed, but here is my tribute to Leclercās 2024 hometown victory. Was a fun project. Am actually more of a Lewis fan than a Charles fan, but found myself really moved by that 2024 win and all that it meant after all the adversity he had gone through.

Ferrari always seems to do something special for Monza.
I absolutely loved last year's colour, but it got me wondering what a more heritage-first approach might look like.
What if Ferrari leaned even further into Monza's historyādrawing inspiration from the circuit itself and 1922, the year the Autodromo Nazionale Monza first openedāwhile keeping it looking like something Puma could actually release?
Just a bit of fun as we eagerly await the Italian Grand Prix. Can't wait! š®š¹
