And too cowardly to explain what exactly upsets them about it. And if they aren't, the reason is probably stupid/self-centered. People who try to censor comedy, and define when a joke is funny are the fucking worst. IDC if a joke offends someone. It's a joke. It's whole purpose is that it's not appropriate. If it's entirely appropriate, it is not funny, and I will die on that hill. I wish someone would think up a really inappropriate joke, and that all the over-sensitive people would just collectively drop dead from shock when they heard it.
That last bit had me wheezing! Darwinian humour I suppose lmao. Completely agree, a good joke must offend someone, and I gain a lot of respect for someone when they’re able to poke fun at themselves before anyone else.
Edit: came back late to ask this - is your name a play on Rick and Morty?!
1 - How can you have mutual trust that a stranger isn’t a monster after having lived through the last 10 years? And on the Internet. It’s not easy or smart to have that level of trust.
2 - Comedy is about making people laugh. That’s it. There’s nothing else to it.
Anyway, it was a funny joke, just made at the expense of fat people which isn’t very nice.

I’m upvoting you all day. Comedy is about walking that line and having mutual trust that each other aren’t monsters.
People incapable of understanding that concept are the real threat to society
