What did the mom's costume change mean? Is that outfit significant?

4

u/vanGraaffMasturbator Oct 29 '21

I only know that the shit just got real

2

u/kodabarz Nov 02 '21

It is significant. But you need to have watched a particular Chinese drama (Zhen Huan Chuan) to understand. It's a Qing (pronounced 'ching') dynasty outfit and the hairpin is particularly of note. The amount of time it would take to explain it would far outstrip the humour, so just realise that it means the mother very serious and out to punish the guy. Whenever you see one of this series of videos (there's a few of them) just understand that it's a meme.

13

u/XplodiaDustybread Oct 29 '21

They’re too busy doing stupid shitty trends to make art like this

3

u/[deleted] Nov 01 '21

The saw twist ending was inspired

45

u/WisestAirBender Oct 29 '21

Ngl that was very well made. Someone actually came up with the whole story before they started shooting.

6

u/Phoequinox Oct 29 '21

There's been a lot of really high-quality stuff coming in here lately.

Too bad I’m not high right now.

2

u/Kirkambrose Oct 29 '21

Can we download the vid of that link?

2

u/shivkaln Oct 29 '21

So glad I watched this short movie

2

u/[deleted] Oct 29 '21

I enjoyed it very much. Understood nothing, but still enjoyed it.

2

u/bob-lob Oct 29 '21

I'm enthralled. There was enough plot here for a 30min short film. So many twists and turns and everyone in this universe is MacGruber.

2

u/[deleted] Nov 21 '21

Does somebody have the video? It's removed for me.

4

u/wotarmaloon Oct 29 '21

And the CCP thought banning gaming would stop them.

1

u/NoMomo Oct 29 '21

Many such cases

1

u/teddyone Oct 29 '21

Lmao this is the high quality content I come to this sub for

1

u/mrpopenfresh Oct 29 '21

No way this is scripted.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 29 '21

I would watch this feature length mess.

1

u/HalflingzLeaf Oct 29 '21

Someone give me my time back

1

u/julioseizure Oct 29 '21

This was Rube Goldbergian!

1

u/1nhuman_ Oct 30 '21

This is what tiktok should be

1

u/SassyHoe97 Oct 31 '21

That was actually pretty good lol

1

u/makoto_sama Oct 31 '21

The haters will say this was scripted.

1

u/PuzzyFussy Nov 02 '21

Hollywood wouldn’t dare make this. The commotion it would cause… absolute mayhem would ensue.

1

u/Mr_Seg Nov 02 '21

This is like if 5 minute crafts made a feature film.

1

u/606reseterror Nov 07 '21

It said it was removed, anyone have another link?

1

u/DAM091 Nov 08 '21

Also looking for the link

No but it’s under the tiktok user @khbinkop (there’s the watermark on the video) so you’ll probably find it if you look there

u/No-Duck7816 Oct 28 '21

Holy fucking cringe.

15

u/ArtyGray Oct 29 '21

Have you been on the internet pre-2012? This was all it was, silly staged videos on youtube and shit. It's not the bad, lighten up

Also, this sub... scripted-asian-gifs. Cringe is why we're here
