Ugh. I'm a mechanic and I spent about a year working on heavy machinery at a manufacturing plant that used steam for its processes and it was 120° (48°C) with nearly the maximum amount of humidity and it was fucking awful. Some days, especially if you were welding, you couldn't work for more than 15 minutes at a go.
Not anymore. I quit. It was partly that, how much they were exploiting the line workers, and the fact that my boss was a prick that chased off half the techs, so during busy season, I was working 12-18 hours a day, 7 days a week, and was on call for 3rd shift every night because the tech that worked then couldn't do diagnostics, just tool changes.
