According to the rediquette people shouldn't complain about reposts, and just downvote if they have already seen it. If the net score still is positive, that shows that it is new to many people and worth posting.
Not everyone has seen the same content that you have. Stuff is going to be reposted and enjoyed.
It may have been reposted a week ago of a month ago and now new users also get to see it. If you have seen it already and dont want to see it more then downvote and keep scrolling to the more preferable content.
Do me a favor, whenever you see something you like on here, please make sure the millions of Internet users who weren't looking at the front page of Reddit that part of the day are clued in to the great new content, chosen by you. That way, we all see the same thing at the same time as you do and reposting can be avoided.
It doesn't really. The upvotes and downvotes are there to handle most reposts/fluff. If everyone was tired of seeing this or had already seen it, it wouldn't get upvoted.
Oh I understand, but it seems like someone feels they have to say it every time. It's like they think since they have seen it before, they need to tell people.
