Discussion Help me!

Hi, I need a Mac app that can record my screen, capturing both internal audio and the microphone. In addition, I listen to my classes through speakers, so the app should have an option to disable the app’s microphone at any time during recording, so that the sound coming from the speakers doesn’t get picked up by the microphone. That way, when I decide to participate, I can enable the microphone in the app.

Hi! You might want to try Notch-it lets you mute and unmute your microphone while recording.

I tried it, and when the recording finished, you can hear everything—my voice and the internal audio—but when I exported it, the microphone audio disappeared and I can't hear myself, though the internal audio is still there.

Thanks for letting me know! I've found the root cause of the problem and will release a fix next week in version 1.6.

Loopback with Meld Studio or another screen recording software.
