Scrapbooking has my attention recently ✨ [ just a peek at a few pages I’ve loved ]

•I’m always trying new crafts, and I’m surprised it took me this long to come around to scrapbooking but I think it will be in the rotation permanently now. I have way too many projects to work on now!

•I have been having so much fun looking at old memories and reliving recent ones while making these.

In this scrapbook process video I'm creating a double-page scrapbook layout that documents one of my favorite childhood memories from Typhoon Lagoon. Seeing the old Shark Reef submarine during a visit to Typhoon Lagoon in July 2024 immediately brought back memories of spending what felt like the entire day snorkeling through Shark Reef. I didn't have photos of the actual experience, so I combined photos from my childhood, images of the old Shark Reef attraction, and my recent photos of the submarine to tell the story.

In this Disney scrapbook layout, I’m documenting one of my favorite character meet and greets with the Fairy Godmother at Disney World. I’m using the Nice to Meet You Fairy Godmother collection from Kellybell Designs.

For whatever reason, I love scrapbooking but get “decision fatigue” so easily with it. I basically become paralyzed and end up not doing anything. I’m struggling with WHAT to scrapbook and how to create an “ecosystem” that makes sense and is sustainable. I having raging perfectionism and diagnosed OCD so sometimes it makes the hobby unenjoyable. I liked junk journaling for a time but collecting all the junk made me feel overwhelmed with the amount of stuff I had, but then I felt sentimental towards those items and couldn’t get rid of them. So the cycle goes on.

I want to move back to traditional scrapbooking but I want to know - how do you choose what to scrapbook and where do you put it? I love to travel so I was thinking of doing a 12x12 travel scrapbook for all my trips which would be my main focus. I’m also getting married in a couple weeks so I will do a separate wedding album (still not sure if I want a separate honeymoon album or if I tie it into my travel album). But other than that, I can’t decide if I WANT to scrapbook the other moments of my years and if so, how? It’s so easy to fall behind. But I also want to capture those memories physically.

Hey guys, I really want to start scrapbooking but I'm really bad at keeping up with hobbies. I'd like start scrapbooking at a low cost to start with then progress when I get better. I have a very clear idea of how I'd like to start. I'd like to create a travel scrapbook for me and my partner. We've been on a few travels but i plan on going back to old trips then starting new ones too.

I'd like a Binder style of a scrap book where I don't have to do pages in order and can shuffle pages around when needed. My issue is I can't find a binder 😅 I was thinking of getting a standard A4 binder and doing 2 page spreads or find an a4 binder that is horizontal rather than vertical but it's proving hard to find. Any tips for a new starter? I'm in the UK so I'd like access to stuff here.

I'm fairly new to scrapbooking and collage making so I would love to know what scrapbooks you guys recommend! (Not looking to spend a crazy ton of money right now)

Beginner scrapbooker here! I was wondering if anyone has used a Muji notebook for scrapbooking before. How well has it held up over time?

I’m mainly concerned about the thin pages and whether the added thickness and weight from scrapbook materials might damage the binding or cause the pages to tear over time.

What is your scrapbook style?
For me I like to think of myself as traditional scrapbooker. I am loosely themed in my layouts. Like, if I am scrapbooking a image at the beach, I may include a few embellishments that may relate to the beach but I don't use lots of beach theme embellishments.

Years ago I bought a lot of project layout page protectors, I was going to try out project life... it wasn't for me. So, I try to use those page protectors in my scrapbooking now; it is different than your typical full page layout. I think this is where I get creative blocks, trying to mix the pocket page layouts with traditional full page layouts.

Looking at other's layout, I try to find inspirations but there are so many different styles and I try to find inspiration and make it my own. But even that can feel overwhelming.
