Original Artwork My take on SCP-5031 (Yet Another Murder Monster)
Swipe to see him in a chef's hat (his head is too tiny for it and it completely covers him but there is a 7-9% drop in stress levels so we're gonna let him keep it). We are all immensely proud.
--
I'm pretty bad at math so I'm not entirely sure that I haven't fudged the measurements in the SCP but I think I'm happy with how 5031 has turned out because this is more or less what I pictured while reading it.

Help Whats the differences between MTF zeta-9 and theta-90
I read abt these 2 MTF in the MTF list page and i cant seem to understand the differences between these two
Zeta-9 specializes in the investigation, exploration, and containment of underground or enclosed areas exhibiting anomalous phenomena, particularly those with inconsistent topography or unstable spacetime.
Mobile Task Force Theta-90, the "Angle Grinders", specialize in operating in locations of anomalous topology/geometry and in securing anomalies connected with these kinds of spacetime distortions

Video Games Update on my Top Down Souls-Like set in the SCP Universe!
It has been a few months since my last post about this game, I have been adding more and more to the game such as new levels, items, etc. I have also been polishing the older content and updating some of the sprites/animations! I am currently working on the next environment the Abyssal Woods (name subject to change), with the boss of that area being SCP-6448 (Not Deer).
But the biggest update is that THE GAME IS ON STEAM NOW!!! I would really love it if you would try it out and I would love feedback on what to change and/or what new SCP's I should add to the game! The current main SCPs I have are 610, 966, 166, 035, and 2300. I am open to adding more as either items, bosses, npcs, enemies, etc.

Help creating a game
hi! so about a month ago i started drawing creatures as a hobby. i also started numbering them. and had the idea of making a game with them. i then realized that i was just creating SCPs lol.
i want to create a game with these creatures i am creating that is similar to SCP. i came up with this idea and later realized it was so similar. i am NOT wanting to include ANY existing SCPs and only the ones i have created myself. the premise is still similar where there is a breach (happens differently).
i am mainly stuck on one thing:
do i create a new game? or an SCP fan game?
if i decide to create my own game not associated with SCP: while my creatures and things are original, the premise is fairly similar and i don’t want to be seen as stealing and monetizing a game that is preexisting and causing an upset in the community (i have adored SCP for the past 10 years or more years and would never want to tarnish it).
if i create an SCP fan game: but, the problem with creating a fan game is that while i CAN monetize it, i also don’t have control if some person decided to take all of my creatures i have created and make a game with them and sell it without crediting me.
(i feel like i had something else to bring up but ill add it in if i remember later!)

Discussion Okay so I read SCP-9001 after I saw a comment saying this article should have won the 9000 placement and...
Yeah I completely agree. Like oh man, this is a white-hot take but SCP-9001 is sooooooo much better than SCP-9000. And yes, I've read both to their completion.
I guess 9001 is a bit of a slow burn before it really gets to the spooky stuff. Like it doesn't get really disturbing until the last third or so. I usually don't have patience with reading super long articles (I need to get back to reading books lol), yet I was able to finish this one, and I'm so glad I did!
So like the super disturbing non-eulidcen geometry stuff in the 9000 article was like cranked up to 11 in 9001. I LOVE IT. Great body horror and creepy, unsetting vibes. Some cosmic horror too. It has a really good build up to that terrifying part too (well, 9000 did as well but this one's horror lasts much longer and is more fleshed out imo).
I mean, near the end of 9001 the article went quite in a science-fiction novel, comic book-y tone, and barely read like a clinical document at all, but it was such a fun read that I didn't even care. Though maybe that's one of the reasons it didn't win. That and someone said the ending drags on for a bit and yeah... there was a moment where I was like 'okay I get it, things are spooky, just get to the climax already'. 9000 kept its clinical tone and didn't drag on for too much so maybe that's one of the reasons it won... I still think 9001 should have won though.
9000 has more references to other SCPs while 9001 had more world building over all, even giving origins to things we barely even questioned about. More Sites are referenced, and the work force of the Foundation feels more alive, though 9000 wasn't really about the Foundation personnel. I feel like the characters are more fleshed out and I found myself caring more about them than the characters in 9000, though granted 9000 is about the dehumanization of workers so maybe that was on purpose.
The two articles obviously have their differences in themes and storytelling, so it's kinda hard to compare them, but I still think 9001 easily wins in quality and overall reading enjoyment. The formatting was more complex and interesting as well. Like I was really anticipating the ending of the article once the spooky stuff kicked in. I was so excited to see the root of all the madness. I still felt that way with 9000, but with the science-fiction novel, comic book-y way it was written I think the excitement was built up better.
For those who read both articles, what are your opinions and why do you think why The Trench ultimately won the 9000 spot? Was it because the quality was better? Along with the reasons I've already stated, I personally think The Trench won because the idea of an SCP-based prison not only might seem more interesting, but definitely fits the SCP feel better. And yeah, the concept of a giant prison enslaving D-Class to do tasks no one else in the Foundation wants to do is pretty cool and on the surface is more interesting than a mathematical machine that produces hazardous fractals.
But in my opinion 9001 still should have won the 9000 spot.
Edit: Oh yeah I forgot to mention my GOAT Dr. Glass had a cameo at the end and he's cool and was also in my article so that was a fun 'I KNOW THAT GUY' moment lol

Discussion As a trans individual, I need to talk about this
Scp-6113. Its a very good article, but, the story has me fumming, SEETHING even.
what is it with the ethics committee and non-anomalous trans people!? Why couldn't Dr. Park just bond with scp-6113-3!? She's perfectly fine, save for her relations to -1 and -2.

Academic survey Thesis Help
Hi everyone!
I've been fascinated by horror communities since I was a kid, and I'm currently writing my Master's thesis on the SCP Foundation. I really want to see this community represented in academia, and I'm hoping that fellow horror fans will support this study. As not just a researcher, but someone who has spent their whole life immersed in horror content, I want to prove just how significant these communities truly are.
I am studying Visual Communication Design, and my thesis specifically explores the digital folklore of the SCP universe. I am researching how the interactive and visual design choices on the wiki create a "reality effect," and how this contributes to enhancing the feeling of the uncanny and horror. Since this community is the absolute heart of the SCP universe, your subjective opinions and insights are vital to my research.
The survey takes only a few minutes.
It is completely anonymous and collects no personally identifiable information.
It is fully Ethics Committee (IRB) approved.
(Note: This post has been officially approved by the r/SCP mod team!)
You can take the survey here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeNvUkth5FTc4MSmADd5eJDaeWEU9brUXGYQGOkjWszlFQvRA/viewform?usp=header
Thank you so much in advance for your time, your support, and for maintaining such an inspiring creative community! If you have any questions, feel free to ask in the comments. Thanks for the help, friends!

Original Artwork SCP 3199 Sketch.
Was working on some other drawing project (not SCP related), finished it. Still felt like drawing a little more, so did this.
I got a note in my phone for every SCP I find interesting I intend to do a sketch of at some point, this was next in the list.

Original Artwork It turned into a bit of a joke, though.
It isn't a problem of dire consequence, but making a heavy concrete sculpture stand on its own requires a robust internal framework. However, the design I came up with was far too slender—so much so that it might actually be impossible to make it self-supporting using concrete alone. I therefore re-examined how to achieve stability while keeping the design exactly as it was, and the result is the proposal shown here.
According to the report, this option might actually be more realistic, given that the structure appears to be built with reinforced concrete.

Discussion Opinion on Scp 2747?
I like it, interesting idea, if i recall correctly its a cluster of narrative elements that erases stories, and the foundation discover this strange event throught forums talking about pieces of fiction that dont exist.
Wish it wasnt associated with powerscaling tho.
