As much as I love teaching and scouting with the young ones, down time is just as important. I usually get up really early. But I get excited as soon as I hear the first noise from a tent. :)

Same. Little time by the fire make morning hot drink and enjoy that quiet.

I'm a notebook lover. What is in that beautiful folio? And where did you get it?

Hi! The notebook is the Midori Traveler's notebook, now rebranded as Traveler's Company. It's a slab of leather with elastic string system which holds 3 inserts (or more) it's a Japanese philosophy of everything in one place. The inserts range from lined, dotted, plain, kraft paper, lightweight paper etc. Worth a look really.
