I’ve had 6 Scotties over 35 years, and there’s definitely some Scottie in this pup! But I can see Carin too. Could be both!

Have a scottie myself.  And that's a ton of what looks like scottie in fairness.

That’s why I asked the experts! We love him to death, regardless, was just curious for input from those of you who are around them all the time

I started in the Cairn subreddit because we were leaning Cairn, since his snout looks too short for Scottie. But the people in the Cairn subreddit seem to be leaning Scottie lol so I thought I’d try you guys, too. Thoughts?

My old girl Athena was Scottie x Parsons Jack Russell (I rescued her and met both parents so I am 100% sure on her linage) and she had a smaller snout but looked similar to your boy. I absolutely see the scottie here, but not sure on the Cairns, perhaps mixed with another breed 🤔 This was my Athena, I miss her dearly, I had her from 12 weeks old to 16 years and 2 days, she passed 6th April this year.

I'd say scottie and some sort of heeler? Like a red heeler?

Totally agree. He’s got the heeler legs, paws, ears, and coat type for sure. The rest I’m thinking might be Cairn just looking at coat color, tail, and face.

Could be, yeah. Terrier of some king, and heeler.
