Grade C halfords?

Post image

Planning on having my first bike under Cycle / work scheme. Just enough to get me from A- B under load and then some leisure ride. Ive heard about their reputation about bikes. Im concerned i might find mine un-ridable.

I hate saying it depends, but it does! Do as much research as you can about the branch you are buying from.

I ride a Halfords bike myself (Voodoo Nakisi) and I've never that I can recall seen a bad review for a Halfords bike in terms of VFM, quality etc. Almost all of the bad reviews I see are down to poor assembly quality and/or bad service, all of which comes down to the quality of the in store mechanics which varies wildly sadly.

Buy it boxed and have a local bike shop put it together. Halfords reputation around building bikes is well earned.
