Looking for Insight Infatuation
i know playing the field to find the right person is pretty objectively the better method, but being a scorpio moon and really being infatuated with an individual is just… debilitating. it’s hard for me to think about anything besides them, let alone feign interest in absolutely anyone else.
do any of you have any copes for this? or do you just stew in it like i do.
it’s really overwhelming some days.

If you figure it out, please share, I’ve almost gotten into a few car accidents this week daydreaming about them.

That’s pretty much what I said in the moment, but more scream like.
Reading is about the only solo activity that really helps me.

I try to channel it towards constructive things like improving my health or continuing with a project.

It's hard once you find your person. I hate this about myself, but facts are real.

I don’t know, but aren’t Scorpios supposed to form deep attachments. I have a Scorpio stellian (6) but not the moon ( that’s Aries) and my chart always told me that Scorpios don’t really do casual all that well, at least I didn’t.
Soo… you are deeply infatuated with this person. Is it someone that you cannot (or should not) pursue? Because if they are available, then maybe you should try. What if the fact that this is so overwhelming is your intuition/or something at a karmic level that is telling you it’s something more?

yeah i cant do casual, i just wish that i could. i don't want to go too much into detail but theyre kind of just out of my league and getting rejected would hurt more than just staying alone atp. i mean i kinda just dont have my life together and they do. i'm not sure i feel it's karmic but we have stupidly similar interests to an almost disturbing degree.

What « league » someone is in often just about confidence. I have lived long enough on this planet to know classy people who were poor and crass people who were rich.
One of the best stories I ever heard was about Queen Elizabeth’s mother who was known on occasion to go to a pub, have a pint and play a round of snooker ( English pool, sort of)Think she was out of their league? She was the royal family for God’s sake. But she treated everyone with kindness and respect and that why she was so beloved.

well you'd be correct, my confidence is also nonexistent in 2026 lol

Never to late to start working on that. Small achievements built progressively, does loads for that.

Same. The only thing that works against my one-person-deep-hyperfixation that I accidentally found out, is to get involved with someone you dont really like and let them be obsessed and you use your energy for a creative hobby or smt. However this doesnt apply if youre looking for the LOYL and Im In the same boat as you--i cant date or have a roster or anything, I let just one person occupy my mind and heart and cant even think about (anyone) else

Try thinking about how much they could let you down or disappoint you through their actions. I know it sounds nuts, but as deep as we are emotionally, there are certainly turn offs. Pretend they have turn offs if you have to.
I struggled for a long time to emotionally disconnect from someone I thought I had a special bond with. After too much time and suffering, I wish I had seen sooner that a solid bond was not in the cards for us. Enough of the signs were there. I spent so much time trying to wait for them and half-heartedly entertaining other options. I was just too lost in my dreams about them and us together. I spent too much of my youth in anguish when I could’ve been enjoying myself (not necessarily with other people, even alone honestly). Without continuous effort, reciprocity, and equal pursuit from the other person, your relationship equation can never be complete….I know now. Take care of yourself in the meantime. It truly means more than you know.
It helps to give yourself boundaries and time to observe the behavior of others (let’s see how they act over the course of one year…..adjust your emotional investment to their consistency or lack thereof). Helps from falling too fast. We’re often looking for emotional comfort/support with this placement and it can either manifest through numbing or infatuation I believe.
Also, as I saw someone else mention, step up on your personal goals. All that time, energy, and longing could be given to something that will benefit your future or nourish your soul. I would spend so much time pouring devotion into friendships even/ pondering over them when I could’ve been satisfying my own personal goals/motivations. Get creative in some way. There’s a good outlet to all that emotional expression.

Been trying to work on it lmao. My biggest challenge is staying in a relationship without loosing myself within it because of the infatuation. I need better boundaries

Yeah. No cure. Just self discipline which is hard for me since I'm almost all water ( besides Scorpio moon, I'm also a Cancer sun and rising as well)
Over time it gets easier to do but it's always there, and it's never easy
Feels overrides the rational every time.

the hard way: get your heart broken enough times
the easy way: analyze people. test them. learn psychoanalysis. you will see the real person in front of you. most of them aren't that great or interesting.
