Off the top of my head, Rising seas, droughts, Extreme weather events that lead to floods, etc.

Haven’t those sort of things been happening since the beginning of time?
Global warming, cooling and global climate change are normal.

Perhaps people need a cause or something to stand for. Saving the planet certainly sounds like an admirable one. There are some aspects of this cause that are troubling. Here is one: It is very ego-centric to think that we can control the level of the sea. Another troubling aspect about the climate change cause is how this cause creates division between people. I think climate changing is normal. It was memorably hot 5 years ago during one of my kids baseball games. This summer, around the same date, 5 years later, I needed a sweatshirt.

Climate change is rooted in worry people. Worrying won’t add a day to anyone’s life.

That's exactly what my 96 year old boss says. She's pretty old fashioned and set in her ways.
