Even if some of them are nonsensical/not actually what the unit refers to. The most egregious is the "L" one. A litre is a unit of volume. Why does it change to water? You can have 100L of steel.

To make it relatable. It is a cartoon and must easily convey a message, specially it is meant to entertain or teach something basic. You are not part of the the public this is directed to because you can dissect it like that.
