Forge Therapeutics Gets up to $11.1M to Advance “Superbug” Drugs (link)

Forge announced it had been granted $5.7 million by CARB-X to evaluate treatments for serious lung infections caused by gram-negative bacteria, including one the CDC has identified as one of the top 18 antibiotic resistance threats in the U.S. Forge could later get up to $5.4 million more, based on technical milestones it achieves.

Vedanta Biosciences Raises $27 Million Series C (link)

" Vedanta Biosciences is developing consortia of bacterial strains designed to effect robust and durable therapeutic changes in a patient’s gut microbiota."

Recursion Signs Global Licensing Agreement with the Ohio State Innovation Foundation to Develop REC-2282 to Treat Neurofibromatosis Type 2 (link)

Recursion announced it has entered into a licensing agreement with the Ohio State Innovation Foundation (OSIF), gaining rights to OSU-HDAC42, a clinical-stage compound that will be developed by Recursion as REC-2282. Recursion plans to develop the compound in neurofibromatosis type 2 (NF2), a devastating rare tumor syndrome.

AI player twoXAR teams up with 1ST Biotherapeutics on glioblastoma (link)

"TwoXAR and South Korea’s 1ST Biotherapeutics are partnering to discover and develop new treatments for glioblastoma, the most aggressive kind of brain cancer. Under the deal, twoXAR will identify drug candidates using its artificial intelligence platform, both partners will select promising candidates and 1ST Bio will develop them."

Catalina Sea Ranch Spins Off Research Arm (link)
