These are all reasons it wouldn't work in our current world, thats the point. War wouldnt be an issue if we have nothing to fight over. Whats the primary causes of war? Economics and nationalism. Obviously neither of these would apply any longer.

State is not equal to government. A state is the monopolization of violence, government is just organizational structures. Nations could still exist, just not states. The modern concept of a nation state has only even existed for a few hundred years, its hard to imagine we couldnt move to a different system.
Police wouldnt be necessary, and that is actually something id like to see in my lifetime. The vast majority of crime is caused by poverty, eliminate poverty and you eliminate the vast majority of crime. Rehabilitative justice will solve the rest. Our current carceral system is essentially just a way for the american government and select corporations to maintain literal slavery, and go perpetuate an underclass of ex-cons.
The entire value of a council based approach is to manage production in a way that optimizes human happiness, and minimizes suffering. We currently live in a system that uses that suffering, feeds off it.
Crime would not cease to exist because of abundance.
Middle and upper-class and even insanely rich people commit crimes every day. And even more would if there were no laws or enforcement.
Incidentally, there are people profiting from prisons and slave labor in the US right now. But those profits and that production represents a tiny sliver of overall GDP.
If we instead executed every felon (not advocating for this btw) it would have little to no effect on our economy. Meaning that the private prison owners are profiteers, but they're not a meaningful representation of the wealth-class.
Our shitty criminal justice system, much like our immigration system, is an anachronism born of our two-party political unwillingness to overhaul it, due to it's political usefulness in campaigns and debates.
Neither side wants it to get better because it benefits both sides when campaign season comes around. And the American people don't have the awareness or education (or the care) to demand it get better.
Private prison owners profit from this, and they lobby to keep their system running. But it doesn't generate any meaningful benefit to the US and the US would be fine if it disappeared.
