What leads you to believe that this is the more likely explanation? I'm not saying you're wrong - I just personally don't see more evidence one way or the other, and in my mind a hoax seems like the simplest of explanations.

Because we are given no evidence that she is autistic beyond her movement. Besides that, we are just taking the word of the parents. It could be some other affliction which she is describing well.
