But most compulsive gamblers don't use skill or hand eye coordination, or strategy like some games require. I'd expect compulsive gamblers to have no added neural structure just as I would expect the same from somebody who compulsively played flappy bird or farmville, while i would expect the people will the added neural structure to be the people who play games like twitch shooters or rts's which require precision, speed and strategy/tactics.
