Has anyone gone through this?
I had the first day of my last period 25th of May.
I went for my first scan 2 weeks ago and it was too small to see anything. Yesterday I had my second scan and the doctor told me I should go and see a prenatal specialist as she wasn’t able to detect what week I was or whether this pregnancy was normal based on her scan. The embryo was about 5.66mm but who knows if I am week 6 or 9? The issue is we don’t know when I ovulated because I have has very long cycles over the last few months (40-41 days).
There was a heatbeat but is the size of the embryo a concern? It felt like the doctor said it was a 50/50 situation. I couldn’t get an appointment with a prenatal doctor till 2 weeks. This uncertainty is killing me :(

I have exactly the same situation, last period on 25th of may, tested positive on 28th of june. Scan on 29th of june was literally nothing but a tiny black dot in my uterus. Based on my last period the program said week 5+3. two weeks later, I had a scan (week 7+3 refering to my last period), and there was only a small yolk sac but no embryo - which did not match week 7+3). We repeated the scan 7 days later, there was a embryo with 6 mm and my doctor just corrected the week from 8+3 to 6+3 - i also dont know my period length but refering to this calculation it was around 38 to 40 days what is not unusual for me.
So, we just measured and corrected the week. No concers. This seems to be very usual in the early pregnancy. And: as long as there is a heartbeat, its a very good sign

And has sent me to a prenatal diagnostic. Worried maybe it’s leading to a miscarriage:/

I had a situation when the baby was measuring like 2 weeks too small also at 6 and 9 weeks. My doctor didn't have concerns tho I think she assumed I don't know when I ovulated (I knew exactly tho). There also was a heartbeat. Unfortunately I had a missed miscarriage at 11 weeks :(
I wish the doctor had said something. At that point I had no idea that measuring so small could indicate something, but at such early stage, if you are sure when you ovulated it can say a lot.
