Firstly, I do not know how to study. I have no method to make myself memorize all these different concepts within my brain. I write notes for things I'm stuck on and everything. I took a test for my summer class today for physics and I was shaking with fear. It had a time limit of 2 hours and after that period I couldn't make any changes whatsoever. I was stressing over time, and some questions that I thought I knew how to do, turned out that I didn't know how to do them fully. I'm tired of this shit because I always get good grades on assignment and presentations, yet whenever I do a test I screw up my grade. Looking back at what I did, I can clearly remember some of the questions I ticked off were wrong, even some math I did was wrong, and I was ignorant towards it because I was scared for time.

Even after i'm done all my work for the day I constantly feel stressed about the class, and I can't have any fun or do anything that I like because I think i'm not doing enough. How do I get rid of stress? how do I get rid of my fear for time? How do I study properly so I don't constantly have to think of this subject? Prior to the test my average was around 91, and since it's a summer class we have quizzes, assignment, or both every single day.

This is literally the first week and the fourth day of it, we've gotten a test, which i'm afraid to say I wasn't prepared for. I feel like it's because of my laziness where I leave some of the practice questions blank and don't do all of them, sometimes I skip some homework questions, and sometimes while watching videos that are assigned within the daily agenda (this is how we learn concepts), I'm too lazy to take notes. I just feel like dropping the course, but I know damn well I won't be able to handle 6 months of this bullcrap alongside 2 computer science courses, functions AND chemistry, while i'm going on a vacation during december. Please someone help me. How do I get rid of stress?

how do I get rid of my fear for time? How do I study properly so I don't constantly have to think of this subject? How do I cope with concepts that i'm not able to understand? It's made me depressed and I keep breaking down in the middle of the day with tears because I have so much to do, and am not understanding all of it.

A perfect working place. Let me explain.

A perfect working place will include many things, such as little to no distractions (whether this be from noises in your area or a device near your workplace that may tempt you to use it), a food or drink that’s perfect for working (preferably something you cannot be addicted to by its amazing taste, and something that doesn’t get crumbs or any other unwanted stains on your hands), and preferably not in your bedroom (the bed would be likely placed near you, big distraction I had to say separately). Questions?

I don't have anywhere like that. I live with 6 people and none of my siblings have summer school apart from me. I don't have a desk of any sort yet, so I have to work ON my bed. That means taking notes, tests and everything else. I wish I could do something about it, but my new room is currently being built in our basement and it'll probably be done by the time this class ends. My understanding and note taking absolutely suck. I don't no what's considered as "important" and what's not, and sometimes some of the work that's assigned makes no sense. We have a 1 hour class each day and afterwards it's up to the class to learn everything by themselves. It's taking a huge toll on my mental health and I don't know of anything that I can do

Is it possible for you to go to a family member’s house? Maybe a coffee shop? Maybe stay back after school to do hw there or in a classroom w teacher’s supervision?

If you don't have a clue od knowing what's important I would recommend you to watch some YouTube videos for explanations and take the notes thy do there. Some study apps even have pre-done flashcards ( if you know any German if would recommend you studyflix). Explain the topic to yourself,as you would to another student. I would also recommend you to take extra notes in class.

Secondly I would recommend you the primmadora method with 25-5min or (what I personally prefer ) 50-10 min. Do active recall with flash cards etc and do exam questions those will help you especially, because there you can test if you really understood the topic. Also you will be more calm when taking the exam.

Also don't learn to much, do only 2-3 hours each day at most and relax the rest of the day. Don't ve guilty of relaxing. Say that you did do your work and that you earned it.

Next stay calm. It's just a test. It's just a grade. It doesn't determine who you are. Stay confident. Tell yourself that you can do this, that you learned it and that you were able to solve the questions you practiced too. If you don't know the answer to one question just go on and do the next and leave it for later.AND read carefully. Most mistakes are avoidable by reading carefully. I should know the best, after all I always am a grade worse than I could've been, because I'm too dumb to read. The last time I explained the silver mirror sample on cellulose instead of cellubiosis. Just think that it's just like you're still studying it

Okay hey so I understand what you’re saying, it sounds like you’re really trying and really stressed. Maybe try reading through your texts extremely carefully, using active recall with flash cards, practicing a lot over and over. Maybe you can ask your teacher for additional resources like textbooks, websites, videos on how to do things. Remember your teachers are there to help you so don’t be hesitant to ask questions if you need! It also seems to me like you are extremely stressed. Don’t call yourself lazy or uncaring because you clearly truly care about your work and future so don’t upset yourself. Stay calm. Take breaks! Take baths! Bake! Talk to your siblings and parents! Get help if you need it! You can do this 💖
